We continued our streak on this Memorial Day with cooperation from the mother sea turtles. Zone 4 team arrived on the beach with excited park visitors telling us a mother sea turtle just left the beach and re-entered the water. They shared videos. A visitor from Kentucky, who arrived at the park gate at 4 AM this morning, told us about a man getting in front of and close to the sea turtle to get photos - hence the kinks in her return crawl. Fortunately this was after she laid down Nest 26. We relocated the nest as it was in the spring high tide zone. Zone 1 had another nest (#27) left in-situ. No false or non-nesting crawls. The park was a little trashy this morning and starting to fill up with more visitors
as we left.
