Loggerheads in Paradise.

Friday morning, hot, buggy and no breeze. View from the top of the Harbor River Bridge.


It was quiet on the beach this morning, even this surfer was having trouble finding a suitable wave.


Not much to report, but I did get the privilege of inventorying the one nest I found #77. Count is this: 145 total eggs, one sacrificed for DNA, 14 not hatched and 130 hatched. That is a success rate of about 97%. Made me feel good.



The pictures were taken by permitted volunteers under permit 2024-MTP537 & 2024-MTP565, Following all rules and guidelines. Only permitted individuals are allowed to engage in sea turtle conservation activities.
