Zone 3 had four NNE and Nest #107
Zone 5 is where Nest #108 was located.
Is a mama turtle being frugal with where she is placing her nest? Is it a busy beach? Or is it the $30.00 charge for the egg sample taken from each nest for DNA studies? The research that is being done identifies unique species and creates an ancestry data base for future generations. Our Hunting Island Sea Turtle program volunteers use these tools to educate our guests. If you can please donate, FOHI has set up a site listed below.
